APIP is taught by clinicians who perform these procedures in children — and the small group format means you work next to them rather than watch from a lecture hall.

Dirk Schramm has directed APIP since the first course in 2024, and has written on integrating novel interventional techniques into pediatric pulmonology training. The course exists for the reason that motivates that work: interventional technique is learned by doing, and there have been very few places to do it.
